When I power on my e740 I only see a white screen. It appears that all the
data is still there but I can not see any thing on the screen. I tried to do a
restore a few times and still have the same results.

Tried a soft reset and failing that a hard reset (this will erase all data, but restores the Pocket PC to the original status)?

this i most likley by damage to the inside of the screen, Most of the time it is coverd under the warrenty and Toshiba will repair the pda and send it back at no cost, If they find that the screen is broken (cracks ect) It may cost 129.00 for the repair,
