Hi!

Is there a way I can obtain the firmware version and software version of a Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone using C++?
If so I will appreciate any info.

Thank you,
Tudor.

I'd check the documentation.  It sounds like something pretty simple - unfortunately I dont know C++

Start at http://msdn.microsoft.com/mobility and search the library from there.

Hi again,

I looked for an answer through the MSDN and I couldn't find anything, that is why I end up here.
There are example codes in Windows Mobile 5.0 SDK for retrieving different info from the device, none of them treats the firmware version.
I really could use some help.

Thanks.

For those who are interested in this topic:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wcesdk40/html/cerefGetVersionEx.asp

here you have all the info for retrieving the OS version.
