Does anyone know the battery life figures between the Apache, K-Jam & Jas-Jar?
Or could someone supply a good link for this.
Pref actual usage comparasion not just rated mAh

This is really a hard request. You see, my I-mate Jasjar is running on AKU2, and synchronisation is on demand (Microsoft Direct Push), plus used for voice calls. My Apache is only used for data, and most of the times is connected via USB to my tablet PC, so it is almost always charged. Also I have now installed a beta of AKU2.2 on that device, so it too uses the push e-mail.

Some people will only synchronise via USB to a local computer, others will have it all the time on the cradle.

What is "normal", and how to compare?

I use my Apache for about 20 minutes of voice calls a day, 5 - 10 text messages a day, randomly synching with my exchange server remotely several times a day, it's my alarm to wake me in the morning and of course the usual checking of appointments and contact details and client notes randomly throughout the day too.

I find that on a good charge i can usually get about 2 full days (sometimes stretch to 3 or so) with this sort of usage. But it is hard to gauge as some days i use it a LOT more than others and, like Mauricio, i too generally have it plugged in to my laptop throughout the day charging

You cant define normal... but in relative terms if all three devices were being used the same, which one would have the greater battery life?

(You managed to get a beta of AKU2.2 for the Apache, how is that preforming?)

I would say the Apache would last longer. The VGA screen on the i-mate Jasjar is a big battery draw.

For example I have the Socket Power Pack and I use it to recharge both Pocket PCs. It doesn't matter if the Apache is on or off when I plug it, it will recharge. The i-mate Jasjar on the other hand will only start charging if it is off. I found out it was the VGA LCD sucking all the power, not leaving much for a recharge from the battery pack. Once recharge starts then it is ok to turn it on.

Oh yes, the AKU2.2 Beta. It is going well, haven't found any new bugs (there's one thing that annoys me and I am trying to find out what's going on). Apart from that, push e-mail works great on the Apache too.

It should be out sometime soon, but don't expect me to announce the date before Telecom gives the OK to the software. It is worth waiting, and if you have the need for Direct Push, both CDMA and GSM solutions ok fine.
