Have yet to see much difference from WM6.1 aside from the fact that files in "My Ringtones" no longer show up in Notifications which was the case in 6.1,

also disappointed that the WAV restriction is still in place for alarms.

Regs: there is quite a lot of difference in the touch-friendly(er) nature of 6.5 and it ships with a whole new internet explorer among other things. if you've grabbed an image off of xda then it may, or may not, be a complete 6.5 upgrade rom.
in any case, forcing a newer OS onto an older phone is often going to be a bad experience. the newer OS's usually have higher requirements for memory and CPU.
e.g. sticking windows phone 7 on an HTC HD2 is basically sticking it on a device with half the minimum spec - its never going to run as well as it should as it was designed for different processor, graphics engines etc
