Just to let you know Phil (RedJungle) has released the first version of his Geekzone Windows Phone app.

This is the first version of the app. It uses the first version of our API, which most likely will be expanded soon. There are some apps being developed for other platforms, and I will post about them in time, when the devs feel fit.

To use apps you need a key - not your password. To get a key go to App Keys page.

I like it, will live with it and provide feedback.

My thanks to the developer

I have already asked him to consider a page for new posts since last visit.

RedJungle is also creating the API and based on feedback from other developers we know what we will be putting in there, so will be talking to him during the break on what'll be on API 1.5 and forward.

Looks very nice. Scrolling up and down is really really quick. As mentioned above, 'new posts' is a must for this app.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Perhaps an option to show or hide forum sections. Also make all Categories appear on their own panorama page, GZ has a ton of forums, it would be easier to navigate (constructive criticism - I love the app)

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

I must say, I am impressed with this app!

My suggestions for improvement would be being able to create new posts, and search through existing ones.

Also I noticed that when I select a post and the web interface opened, it says 'Login to post' near the top. Should the app key it asked for be its magic here so that I am logged in?

The API is currently read only, but it will incorporate write mode soon.

Apps are developed independently of the site, using the API. I know there's an Android version (I tested it already), but the developer wants to wait until the API is R/W to release its app.

There's one person doing an Apple version, so he says. We do not have control over third party projects.
