The new N95 8GB has the same screen resolution but stretched out even more. No lens cover. No memory card slot.

I really cannot see any reason to upgrade if you own a N95 now. N95 can now take 4GB and also 8GB cards in the future. Long live the classic N95!

It won't fit in the old one, the new n95 is slightly thicker than the classic, if u look u can see the camera now sits flush with the housing. The only possible reason 2 get this one is the looks, and more importantly the doubled ram, which is not an insignificant thing by any means. The lack of a lens cover is very disappointing though. . .

He was trying to say that if you have tested the Sandisk 4GB microSDHC card in your N95 and it's working well and you put in a Sandisk 6GB or 8GB microSDHC card then it will work too or it should. It's quite logical however I agree it's not always true.
Pay attention to the same manufacturer and same card type, just the capacity is different.

This is what I meant. I'm running a Sandisk 4GB SDHC card in my N95 now, and I expect that the entire range will be compatible as they all work on the same technology. Of course its not completely a given, but its as close to certain as it really could be at this point in time.

I probably overstated my opinion somewhat (this is compensatory understatement).

Well, you guys know a lot more about this stuff than I do :)
Only way to know for sure is to stick the card in, I guess.

Can anybody point me to where to get two of those black plastic + Aluminium N95 cases from?
Digital mobile want $40 each which is excessive and they have to order them in.
First Mobile had some ($30) but had the aluminium peeling away which was rather tacky.

Someone here apparently found them for $20. at that price, I'd buy 3 (one to go on phone and 2 to act just as quick mounts for dashboard etc)

I'd get a silicon case but don't think it would work with the slider bit and like iPod silcons, most are total crap. (I got a belkin one in the end which has been perfect) well unless anyone can point me to a good one.

I can verify the normal "crystal cases" are rubbish, I tried one on my phone in the store and it just broke instantly. cheeeeeeap..

understand what you mean about the plastic cases, I bought a few and all have broken in days and I am extremely careful with my fone. I did find some good stuff on ebay I found the leather pouch with a magnetic clip which great also there is a soft silicone case available that has a seperate peice to enable easy slide action. I don't exactly know if I am able to post links to these items here but would be happy to give them to you, please let me know if I am able to post them or not.

Expansys have been good when I've dealt with them.

So far I've purchased 2x 2GB cards, 2x spare batteries, 2x car chargers and 2x bluetooth keyboards from them, all good experiences so far.

I don't know if any of you guys have heard about this (it might have even been mentioned earlier in this post) software for you phone called WWIGO. It allows you to use your phone camera as a webcam for your computer wirelessly over a bluetooth connection. I downloaded it and it is really cool.

I can use it on MSN as a webcam and it works. For me, it is about the same quality as my normal webcam which is CIF (0.1 MP) resolution.

You can get it here for free but you will have to create an account to download it.

Can't beat the burble of that American V8. Ohh yea!
