I tried Android on my touchpad last night, for an alpha version its good to see how much progress they have made. Still very buggy though. However it now allows me to use gtalk and twitter!

Graphite twitter app has been submitted to app store today, Hopefully we finally have a decent twitter app!

Pre-Central have some promo code for a free copy of Halloween Artist if anyone is interested.
A fun little app and the NZ code still worked for me.

I just tried to get this and realised that my app catalog is set to the states somehow. Does anyone know how to change this?

I believe the Impostah app from Preware can do this somehow.

Is this the first NZ-friendly promo code that we've seen?

When I first got the touchpad I couldn't wait for Android to come out for it. But after using it for a few months I think i'll keep webOS, it has really grown on me.

Yeah totally agree, once you do the few mods to speed it up it is perfectly adequate as is. I have used mine on multiple flights to watch movies, listen to music, play games and read ebooks and it does all very well. It probably isn't suited to the "power" user but for average joe it is great.

Agree have lent mine to my Daughter for a French trip and am really missing it.

She is having a problem with Skype and it Vibrating on calls presume it is an alert for messages arriving

As i dont have it to test does anyone know of a way to turn off the vibrate it is really annoying her and i would like it back in one piece

Hope ok to post this request here, Regards Sleepy

Long time no post in this thread (by anyone...)

Getting closer to a release of ICS for the TouchPad:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15045-cm9-on-touchpad-sneakpeek/

Will most likely give this a shot on release. Camera is non-functional, but just about everything else works. (And I really want that 'fishy' background. Easily impressed, I know...)

(thanks for the thread unlock)

100% agree - it's like you read my mind.
Just got back from 6 weeks in the US and didn't take my HP tablet, now I'm back and loving it all over again...web os works so well.

Has anyone had any luck with getting a cracking case repaired? I've just been talking to HP and although they seem happy to fix it, they won't send it back to me because I'm not in the US. I could "proxy" it through a US friend but I'm just wondering whether anyone else has done this; I'd hate to send it over there and then have HP turn around and say that it's not covered under warranty.

Is yours from the US?
