And same with the coloured phones? Any idea when they'll be in and if Vodafone and 2Degrees might get red or cyan for example?

paulspain: Also, worth noting that NZ gets the same Lumia 920 as Australia which means it is also LTE (4G) enabled. Might be handy if you are hoping to get on Telecom NZ's 4G LTE network trial (count me in).

That would be one trial I'd be keen on being involved with. My job takes me around the country a bit, so I'd get the chance to try it in a variety of locations.

Hmmm, That article seemed very light on fact and seemed to be trying to drum up a story. No doubt there might be issues but that's not unheard of with a new OS.

I have contacted THREE people from this discussion and selected TWO for the Nokia Lumia 920 reviews on TelecomTech.

Later this week I will be looking for another TWO reviewers for another model, and later on another TWO for another device (not Windows Phone).

For a while Vodafone had the Samsung ATIV S on their coming soon page, but it's been gone for a few weeks, not sure what that means.
I'm looking forward to playing with the Lumia 920, but would like to compare it to Samsung ATIV S and HTC 8X, shame the ATIV is so far away.
There are a few apps not on WP7 that I want, not sure if on WP8 or not. A skytv app you can can check what time shows start and also remote record. and Carmageddon.

I am going to wait it out till December before forking cash for 2 WP8 handsets. Wife is dead stuck on Yellow/Lime HTC 8X. I am still deciding between Nokia Lumia 920, Samsung Ativ S and HTC 8X. Have held the Nokia Lumia 920 and I like it.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Similar problem to your wife. I dont want to black Lumia 920 and it seems that will be the only colour available at launch.

My problem is that I use the phone for application development so I need it ASAP. The problem is I'm just so sick of my black Lumia 800 and before that I had a black Galaxy SII. I'd be happy with any colour and if Vodafone launches with red or white I'd leave Telecom just to get it. I also have the WP7 HTC Titan II which is pretty good (again in black) so hopefully some news on release dates for colours comes soon so I can decide if it's worth the wait and just develop on the WP7 until then.

I am currently rocking an HTC Titan. Sold the Lumia 800 couple of weeks ago to put it towards WP8. I might look at getting my handset for me and my wife from clove.co.uk if availability of colours and model selection is poor in NZ in mid December.
