Did you ever use an EAS device to synch against Gmail? Then it should still work, Google turned it off for new devices/accounts only

I have been syncing my Gmail email and Google Calender to my Lumia920 as a secondary mailbox and extra calender for a while, I don't keep any contacts in my gmail, but just tested by adding a dummy contact and the contact appears in the people hub no problem.

This assumes that you haven't filtered your gmail account out from your people hub view, and have set the gcal to show in your calender settings - you can also set a different colour so you can easily differentiate between accounts. I'm currently displaying Exchange, Google and Facebook accounts in my calender, all with no problems.

OK, is it possible to sync more than one gcal calendar you think? I have 6 to show difference context.

You previously could just go to m.google.com/sync and select additional Google calendars to sync.

but Google turned that off

Here is a workaround I found:

Use a PC browser, change the user-agent-string in the browser to iPhone4 (F12 in IE10 to get into Developer mode for example)

Then go to m.google.com/sync/settings/iconfig/ and choose your devices and calendars.

disable javascript and change end of the address in in your URL bar "false" to "true"

select your calendar, then save changes
