freitasm: I don't want this to become a "BlackBerry vs. Windows Mobile"

Ah, now that would be a thread! But I suspect there are too many pre-conceived ideas and agendas on all sides - hard to be objective.

In my humble experience I have observed that Geeks and IT Managers like Windows Mobile and all the undoubtable fun that can be had - but most other people just want something that works easily for them and is not like a PDA at all. Maybe latest versions of WM will change this.

UPDATE

I like this thing!
  1. Like the scroll ball, for first two days, it felt weird, but today I was using a mate 700WX 5 way hat and that felt weird, I tried to scroll the hat!
  2. Menu's feel better, again, takes a couple of days to get used to the new format, but once there, you start thinking "I put up with MS version of things and thought it was best". The BB just feels more intuitive.
  3. Battery life is awesome i.e. Two full days of hammering this thing with calls, videos, installs, emailing etc etc and I still had 55% battery life left when I went to plug it in at the end of the day.
  4. Speaker phone is sooo clear and loud.
  5. call quality is perfect, and NO dropped calls.
  6. NO soft resetting!!
Just some of the bits I like, purely from a user perspective.

Cheers

I have never soft reset my Okta touch :-)

As an implementor in the SBS space I can tell you that given a choice we will allways push WM over Blackberry - mainly due to the logic put forward earlier, why add another server to the mix if you dont have to.

Not to say that Blackberry doesnt work - it just takes more work.

Totally agreed from and SBS implementor point of view, not ideal at all. Still, no rush aye.

Nice change though.
