Its going well, its the same size front on as the 640, but about 3/4 as thick, so its noticeably lighter. It set up nicely, my backed up settings from the 640 came over with no issues, although it took quite a while for everything to finish setting up. It downloaded and installed a WP10 update shortly after I set it up, and also had updates to most of the inbuilt apps and features. It is useable as a phone in a similar time to setting up a 640, but it was about 4-5 hours until all my apps were finally sorted, and I don't have a huge number of apps. Twitter took the longest, witht he message that it was updating user settings, which was odd as when it was finally ready it wanted my username and password, before it downloaded anything.
Here Drive and Here Maps are no longer available, but MS Maps is pretty similar to Here Maps. There doesn't seem to be a replacement for Here Drive though, which I will miss on the occasional trip out of town.
All the other apps I had under WP8 on the 640 work almost identically under WP10.
The OS itself seems a bit slower than WP8, when I unlock the phone, it takes a second or two to bring up the Start screen, and there's a few other delays here and there. Not really enough to be annoying at this point, but enough to be noticeable.
Haven't had it long enough to compare battery life, as the battery is physically smaller than on the 640, but in a day or two I should have a feel for if its more or less or about the same.
So far battery life seems to be reasonably comparable to the 640, maybe slightly reduced.
The most annoying thing I've found is saving pictures from the web or within apps like FB and Twitter. In WP8, you tap and hold the pic and select save to phone. And it saves it into the saved pictures folder. In WP10, you tap and hold, then select save, then have to browse to a location, confirm the folder, then name the image. It takes 4-5 taps, plus some typing and is a PITA compared to WP8.
I have the Dual SIM model with Spark in the 3g/4g slot and 2degrees in the 2g slot (both slots can see all bands, but only 1 SIM can be active on 3g/4g at once and Spark is 3g/4g only >> ). Works brilliantly, with battery life comparable to my old Lumia 930.
Only issues I have so far:
Quiet Hours option in the Notification Tray opens Edge and does a search for {Search Results}. Seems to be w10m issue as same issue was on L930
Clicking email notifications doesn't always load the email, just the inbox
Attaching images through camera action chugs (e.g. taking a photo within Whatsapp to send through Whatsapp)

They still haven't ported Cortana over yet it's on the shop blurb for buying the phone. SCAM!!! ^~
A couple of other WP10 things that I've noticed that seem dumb:
When you tap and hold the back button to display the list of open apps, the list rolls out to the right, under WP8 it went to the left, which is the direction the back button points in. Its not a biggy, it just seems weird and non-intuitive.
The Xbox games button under WP8 brought up a list of the games you have installed on the phone, and you could swipe to access other screens with the social and other aspects of Xbox online. Under WP10, the button takes you straight to some social networky thing, then you have to drop down a hamburger menu and select My Games to get to the games. The result is, I've removed the Xbox button from my Start screen and set up a group for all my games. I don't need that kind of runaround to launch a game of solitaire.
The verdict after a week or two. Meh. The 650 is alright, but I prefer the 640.
The Wifi on it is crap. The range and reception is fine, but it regularly decides it can't connect to APs that it normally connects to without issue, and takes a restart before it will connect again. When on my work wifi network it takes 3-4 minutes to move from one AP to the next, even if the previous AP is wayyyy out of range and the next AP is right on top of it. The 640 just handled all that seamlessly.
There are several such things about the phone that count as a step backwards, and I'm struggling to find much that counts as a step forward, especially a step forward that makes up for the steps backwards.
But, since VF no longer stock the 640, and they aren't stocking the 950, its pretty much the only Windows Phone that VF customers can get (aside from parallel imports, buying from Spark, etc which don't fly in a corporate environment).
I literally wouldn't recommend the 650 for my mother to use, and did (last week actually) recommend the 640.
