My suggestion was tongue and cheek no need to be so serious all the time

There is a difference between internet access and wap access.

Here in Romania, Orange has "WAP unlimited", a 4$ subscription which offers unlimited WAP traffic from the mobile phone (!!!). The apn for this is WAP. If you connect the mobile phone to the computer and, using the GPRS connection above mentioned (with apn WAP), try to connect the computer (!!!) to the internet, it doesn't work!

To connect the computer to the internet using the mobile phone, you have to have INTERNET access and not wap access. For this, Orange has "Internet always on" (among others) which costs 2$/MegaByte. The apn for this is INTERNET. Using this, you CAN connect the pc/handheld/pocket pc etc. to the internet using the mobile phone (dialing *9***1# for the gprs connection).

Does your $79 support INTERNET access or does it only support WAP access from the mobile phone? If it supports only WAP, you cannot connect the handheld to the internet.

Now i also have a question.
How can i connect the pc/handlheld to the internet using only the $4 WAP access and not paying a fortune with the INTERNET access?

Hope i was of some help writing this.
