Not quite sure what you mean, but if you mean the first location on weather tab - It's Wellington.

It's turned off, at least once a day. I have also turned off auto-location, then turned it back on.

"DefaultBrowserIsIE" is not at HKCU/Software/HTC/Manila. Search function failed to find it,also. Probably wouldn't make much difference. It starts from the IE icon, but only Opera starts from the globe icon at the foot of the Today screen.

Only reason I want to stick with IE is that's what I'm used to.

Cheers

Hi, Maurice.

No, there is no option to 'synch to current time zone' andit doesn't feature under the "synchs" mentioned in the manual. Cheers.

I think you've exhausted my over-the-web troubleshooting abilities. You could probably ask the clever monkeys on XDA developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=537

Hi. I have located a cab file that I'd like to try at the address givenby KevinL in Reply 353074, two replies up from here. How do I install it to my HTC Touch 2? Can you make it step-by-step as I'm a newbie. Cheers.

You just need to copy it across to your device/memory card, then you need to run the cab on the phone in file explorer or a similar program like http://www.ghisler.com/ce.htm - it'll install it onto your device. You can then delete the origical .cab file. If it doesn't work, you can uninstall it through control panel.

Thanks, KevinL. All good so far. Today screen is showing weather conditions and temperature. 'Location' is showing'Waiting for Update'. Just have to see how long ittakesfor that to 'update'. Is there anything I can do to hasten things? BTW, where is 'Control Panel' in this device? Cheers.

Depends on the ROM, but you can uninstall programs from start menu - settings or via the settings page of HTC sense ("manage applications")

Hi, Kevin. CAB file installed. Location corrected on 'Today'
screen. Not sure if it's picking it up from the network, or whether it's stored elsewhere on the phone. Thanks, anyway. Cheers.
