This procedure is the same as the one needed when the DST patches were applied on Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6: apply patch, set timezone to DST, restart, set timezone to local (NZ), restart.

I'm not sure this works on Windows Phone though.

i'll jot down more details

1) setting -> date+time(it's easy isnt it? haha)

2) turn off auto time(second switch) and then you can see changeable things about time below the auto time switch

3) you have to set gmt 0(first long square-UTC, there is no +and-) and you can set date(second long square) and set ur own time(third square) as nz time by ur self(you hv to set time by urself)

4) and back(kinda save) and get in the setting and data+time

5) turn on auto time(ur set time wont change)

hope you can solve problems with this solution~^^

p.s. sorry for my stupid english again ;p

unless I'm doing something wrong, or misreading your instructions etc

- this doesn't fix the Messaging SMS text incoming time stamp being incorrect for me

Ok. This managed to work for me! Thanks so much.

It's changed the times to incorrect ones on messages already sent, corrected ones received previously but new sent and received messages have the correct timestamps.

Just did what seokoo1210 said:

- Make sure your region setting are all set to NZ
- Go to date+time in Settings menu
- Turn set auto off
- Change Timezone to UTC Casablanca
- Set time and date to current time (previous step puts it out by 12 hours)
- Double check date is still set correctly
- Restart
- Set time to auto
- Send a text and check that it's correct.

I still think there should be a proper update to address this, as it's so annoying.

Just to update, that above fix is merely a workaround and will throw off all your timestamps for calander, facebook app, etc.

There still needs to be a proper fix.

hey guys I have this problem on my own phone, HTC Titan imported from the UK and am personally pushing this internally to get a fix for this ASAP

FWIW this workaround doesn't seem to work on my HTC Titan

I'll reply back as soon as I can say more

I tried the work around and the time displayed correctly after I rebooted the phone. After rebooting and checking the timestamp, I turned ON Set automatically again which screwed up the time again. So not turning set automaticlally to ON and setting the time to Casablanca fixes the issue on my phone for now.

But would like to ofcourse have the time zone set to NZ.

Do whatever you want to do man.

I suspect that Vodafone have fixed their incoming SMS gateway time stamping

My (ex UK) HTC Titan is now working properly with incoming SMS  messages

and I've heard from others with UK imported HTC Radar and Nokia Lumia 800 that their SMS messages on VFNZ are working correctly now too

Can you check if yours is working now too please?
