BlueShift:

nathan: 640 with WP10 too or 8.1?

8.1, haven't tried 10 on a 640, but I imagine it would be pretty much the same, or slightly worse. The 650 is a similar spec.

W10M on a 640 run's fine. To me the 650 is a mixed bag compared to the 640, but given the 640 is selling in the US for $30 it's a no brainer.

I went from a 930 on W10 to a 650, which is a flagship down to a budget phone. The only notable downgrades are:

  • No dedicated camera button
  • Sometimes is a bit slow resuming apps (perhaps once or twice a day)
  • Sometimes unlocking the screen results in a black start menu (once in the month I have been using it)

Dual SIM. My Spark android (work) has been made redundant by using dual SIM. I now have my 2degrees mobile and landline, Spark mobile and landline, plus Skype and Lync all coming through one device.

Plus the 650 is sexy as hell, it looks like a flagship regardless of it's actual target market.
