I thought it was pretty clear:

"Stand-by for your promo code, we'll email it to tell you when the new Nokia Lumia mobiles are available to buy online."

The Nokia Lumia Wellington event is tomorrow, but the Auckland crowd had it today. More information on the NBR.

The Warehouse now also has a pre-order page up for the Nokia Lumia range (XT network). $50 off the RRP for both models. It's still cheaper to pre register via Telecom's online store itself to buy either models.

Sorry team - you won't get your emails until after pre-registration is closed, which will be just before the launch. So, (like you found in the fine print), please stand by, you will receive something in the near future.

Sorry for lack of actual dates and that. Release date is still a closely guarded thing, but we're sure the Lumias will be worth the wait - Mauricio's link to the NBR story above should give you a bit more info to go on... cheers.

The Noel Leeming competition closes on February 29th, so would that point to a March 1st launch date?

An update on the media event today...

Sorry folks, no review units for people present there, only a hands on. A bit down actually.

No definitive date for release yet. They did have the Nokia Lumia 800 in pink and white as well during the session.

Interesting information about Nokia Maps being available for other devices but when I tried on my HTC Trophy and LG C900 I couldn't find anything - trying to confirm this now.

I found out two days ago that the Lumia NZ promo video (that I helped shoot) won't be on the net until the 1st March :(

It will be worth waiting for... the phone and the video!

What I am really looking forward (apart from the sleek profile on this handset) is the Nokia Maps and Nokia Drive.

I imported a blue (cyan?) Lumia 800 and have had it for 4 or 5 days now. It's replacing an HD7 which I've been using for about 8 months or so

It's a really beautiful device, switching to a phone with the headphones input on the top confuses me several times a day Smile

Haven't had a good chance to play with the camera yet, hopefully the weather is good over the weekend though
