Finch: I am thinking about going from Android - WP8. It feels like google is pushing all their services on me and I don't like it.

Really? Do you think microsoft and nokia are not going to offer you their services? Good thing about Android, you can always uninstall them

I ould have thought Android was one of the easier to get rid of bloatware. Most of the Rom's I flash have aroma installer so you can opt out of most of it. Google edition rom's tend to be too much the other way for me as some stuff I do use.

FYI additional software installed by OEMs is trivial to remove in WP8, and I've never seen any of it impact performance beyond a few extra icons that you'll unpin anyway.
