sqlpro: thanks for that NZTechfreak.
how did you know Euro code has option to switch camera sound but NZ one ?
if you've a link that lists differences between those product codes that'll be great.

Yes i'll check symbian-freak for help on different applications. thanks

I used the NZ code, and can indeed confirm that the shutter sound there even in silent mode.
I've also found that I can't sign up to SkyTV mobile on my phone, it says that I must be in New Zealand to use this feature (or something like that). I could be doing something wrong, but perhaps a word of warning to those who are going to switch codes and upgrade firmware...

Would anyone know when we're likely to see the Vodafone branded version of this firmware coming out?

Also, you can change your product code back to its original one after the firmware upgrade if you wanted.

Missed this - keep asking a friend who works for Vodafone - no known timeframe yet. Incidentally, by the time you do get it it'll probably be out-of-date again - new firmware probably on the way to N95-1.

Teo at Symbian-Freak has used it on some developers forums or something - it has full inbuilt flash video support (that means full youtube, or any site with embedded .flv video within the browser window!) and hopefully will have some of the other features of the 8GB firmware upgrade (like for instance the one that makes startup time nearly as fast as a feature phone!).

Thats a known problem on the V20 firmware unfortunately, but far outweighed by the positives.

Not sure about the maps thing, I do know that New Zealand addresses won't be searchable though.

I upgraded a while ago to 20.0.015 and have never been able to get my Media key to work.  Whenever I press it, it shows the Media application selector for a short time and then this closes.    Any idea how I make this work?

Check N95users.com - I'm pretty sure I saw people talking about this issue over there.

Even better idea than resolving the issue: have work change to WPA protection. I mean seriously, WEP is pathetic, you'd be doing them a favor (I have no problems on WPA on V20).

Not sure if this is a firmware problem per se (haven't seen it being discussed here or elsewhere, that of course doesn't rule it out). I would try a hard-reset, and if that doesn't work re-reflash the phone again. If neither work then you need more expert help than I can provide and should ask at the symbian-freak forums.
