DS248:
nikrolls: Very, very soon. Sorry I don't have an exact date, but you can expect it this month.

You can also subscribe to updates from the Nokia NZ page: http://www.nokia.co.nz/find-products/all-phones/nokia-n9/check-availability

To what end?  I registered some time ago & have heard nothing sincwe.
Are those registered going to get any advance advice, or simply be notified a few days after it has been publicly announced?

Still waiting for my e-mail alert, so I guess it's the second option. :p
That page hasn't changed yet either.

Even if you get the 16GB at the $899 discounted rate, that's still more expensive than the 64GB model in Singapore. It will be interesting to see if that price ever goes back to $999 and how many they would sell at that price point.

I think we got to release slightly earlier than scheduled, so the Nokia page hasn't sent its announcement out yet :)

Regarding the price in Singapore, you really can't compare it to the price of NZ -- volume of sales and customers due to the population and market standpoint mean different prices irrespective of currency conversion. $999 is a rock solid price in NZ for a phone like the N9 -- $100 cheaper than the iPhone4 16GB, $399 on the Smart $85 plan.

1000 for the 16gb version is overpriced Vodafone

heck yeah it's a bit much for 16GB, needs to get competitive. I suppose it's a good thing I have to wait to get it, maybe by then it'll be cheaper or available in more of a range than black.
