DuncanMcC: The worst 1520 "bug"...

How many folk have noticed that a 'scroll' gets picked up as a 'tap'?

I don't like it, I don't like it at all.

Can this be fixed?

2 updates for this have been released.

1 is a firmware update that right now seems to be available to only UK handsets atm. The 2nd update is 'touch' setting update that seems to have fixed for some users. This was released today via the Windows store. It has also added an option under settings to disable/enable vibrations for the capacitive buttons. I have installed the touch update today on my Honk Kong model but cannot say with certainty that it fixed it.

Do whatever you want to do man.

My yellow 1520 just arrived yesterday. Bought it from Parallel Imported for $789 although now they've dropped the price by $10. absolutely love it. It's a real beast with my thick kickstand case on! I can't say I'm too impressed with the camera as the photos I've taken always seem to have white balance issues..and the images are not quite as sharp as I expected, for example, most of the trees in my photo lack details. I don;t know if these issues have anything to do with the fact that I kept the flashlights off.

Has the phantom taps/touch issue been resolved with the 1520? Some people say it has, some not with the 8.1 preview.

Have you guys purchased the 1520.3 or 1520.1? Have been reading the 1520.3 is the true international version of the phone with qi charging and the others use an AT&T charging standard. Emailed a couple of parallel importers, and they have said they have the 1520.1. Where did you guys get the 1520.3 if that's the model you have? Thanks for your help! Really need a new phone and not sure I can wait for the Lumia 930 any longer.

To those of you that have one of these devices, what is it like to use everyday, does the size become an issue with carrying it around and what is it like in your pocket?
Something I have noticed with bigger phones is carrying them in car, the nooks provided in cars just don't seem to fit bigger phones, have you found this?

I have a 1520.1 which I purchased parallel imported a couple of months ago and it has QI charging and works really well on Telecom.

KiwiNZ,

The phone fits quite well in my Mazda Demio where it has a little section between the two seats.

Nathan,

I asked Nokia via Twitter the other day how to get hold of one of those car cradles, as the newer model sounds very useful, but they couldn't actually to point me to anywhere I could actually purchase it in New Zealand :-(

I have found it surprisingly good at fitting into my pockets. That was my major concern and in my case it fits perfectly fine in my jeans and track pants, shorts et cetera. But my wife is trying to tell me that I have huge pockets in my jeans :-)

My next phone is definitely going to be between either the next version of this, the LG G3 or the next Moto X.
