freitasm: Yes, it's running 4.8.2345.0... The update worked on the LG Telecom (with the ethernet disconnect trick), but have not been presented to the HTC Trophy Vodafone (not doing the trick because I want to see how long the fail lasts)...

I too have not recieved the update for Trophy (VF). Interesting I got a message on my phone advising an update was available, but when I connected to Zune it said nothing is available. I regards to "operator dependant" is this based on IMEI or IMSI?

If you phone offered you an update then make sure your version of Zune client on your workstation is latest. should be 4.8.2350.

Do whatever you want to do man.

Says it's the latest version, but no update. Maybe I have to wait for HTC to release firmware update?

Tried with a variety of disconnect timings, 2 seconds, 5 seconds and 10 seconds but reports that disconnected and connot upgrade. I'm guess the trick only works with the 4.8.2350 desktop software (I'm stuck at 4.8.2345).

4.8.2345 worked for me with the disconnect trick on my Trophy.

Sorry lyonrouge. The latest version is 4.8.2345. I was not sure of the exact build number. Checked Zune and mine is also .2345

ps - Put the phone into flight mode and try again. Turn Wi-Fi off on the phone and time it close to 5 seconds.

I've found that if it doesn't work with longer connect times then try a very short time - such as between 0.5 and 2 seconds. Leave the cable out (and wifi off) until the Zune client confirms it has found an upgrade - then reconnect the cable.

Tried a variety of timings (in flight mode) with either, up to date or cannot connect. I compared my phone with a work mate, and mine has a higher firmware version, I wonder if that is contributing to it? 2250.21.12200.179, I've emailed HTC support, will be interesting if I hear back from them.

Windows Phone 7.5 now available more broadly

The nice people over at the windowsteamblog say updates should now be fully available:

Thanks, that made me check again and the update came through. Ironically I accepted a HTC again because if was the 'ligit' one (not PI) although I've suffered through waiting for HTC updates in the past (JasJar & Touch Diamond) on the false belief that HTC had been taken out of the equation and Microsoft would manage my udpates, but since learned Vodafone will control my updates, and even when I get them, I have to wait for a firmware update from HTC.

Anyhow, 7.5 installed, bluetooth keyboard support = fail, BT mouse = fail.

Why would you think it would support a bluetooth mouse?  It's a phone not a computer... No bluetooth keyboard is a bit dumb though, hope they do get to that eventually.

Nokia N8 (Symbian) and Galaxy S (Android) does, the advantage of this is when you use RDP you can have a more natural experiece. My question would be, why not?

Is SMS sync supposed to be in Mango? If so, is there a special activiation mechanism or possbily a firmware upgrade needed.

OS update or HTC firmware update. Not updates were offered. I have WP7.5 but waiting for HTC firmware update which I believe will allow the phone to operate as a WiFi access point.
