Windows Hello is not much use to login with a rear facing camera (carry around a mirror?)

Luckily the X3 has a front facing camera as well, and it has support for Windows Hello (Iris and Fingerprint)

HP starts selling Windows phones in NZ soon

Nifty, but the X3 isn't really in the same niche as the Lumia 650. US$699 will likely be NZ$1000 which might be OK as an executive device, but for everyday users, like our folks using the Lumia 640 & 650 in the $300ish price bracket, it ain't gonna fly.

For enterprise customers the market for phones will be considerably different. HP and like will offer these devices bundled as part of solutions. Unit prices will be somewhat irrelevant and buried.

You aren't comparing apples with apples.

These are windows device replacements, capable of attaching to external accessories and becoming a full workstation.

Exactly my point. MS is no longer supplying Lumia Windows phones to the NZ market. Currently, Lumias are the only Windows phones available on the NZ market. Soon the HP X3 will be the only Windows Phone available, but it is in a different category of device. Therefore, Windows Phones are no longer suitable as the standard mobile device for my company. We're having enough trouble trying to get Surface Pro 4s in a state suitable to hand to our execs, let alone an even smaller desktop replacement.

I have the latest build on my test tablet, English (New Zealand) as the language, region set to "Match the Windows display language" and Cortana does not recognise the language. If I go to Cortana & Seach settings the only languages available are English US, UK, Canada, Australia and India.

So, no I am not sure you have it working with NZ regional settings. It works if I select US or Australia sure, but that's not "NZ regional settings".

I have time zone Auckland/Wellington D/L saving. Region set to NZ. Speech set to Australia, something I didn't set. I maybe missing something though.
