reading this article, it almost sounds like HP doing this firesale thing is like flooding the market with webos, then they have a decent market share, then they will develop hard on top, then they will have a greater chance completing with android and ios..

the only down turn is most of the touchpads when to resellers, that they make their bits on top, just by seening the amount of touchpads for sale on amazon and ebay, even our little nz's trademe has a few for sale.. its disappointing really

not sure about that, i don't think there will be much of the refurbished units around as it haven't been on the market long enough to have a decent amount...

Sadly,

"To put a finer point on things, the limited quantity of TouchPads that will be made available will only be available in the US," a HP spokesperson told news.com.au this morning.

Although it was a tongue in check comment

They've sold hundreds of thousands of these things, or more... in a week!!
Me thinks that any that do come up won't happen in this country anyway.

totally agree with you, nz is like that last country to get anything, can't blame them, as our population is not meeting big companies cup of tea.....

Can someone who has received one give me the LxWxH measurements of the box so I can determine shipping costs? If you happen to have a scale handy and could give the weight as well that would be great, although I read that it's 3.2 kg. Thanks.

I'd be interested in that too, as well as a reliable forwarding service to use. I've seen shipito mentioned here a few times. Are they pretty reliable to use?
