I've used shipito a few times with good results. I found their prices to be very reasonable, and for me, who doesn't get items shipped that often, they were the best choice.

i'm gutted really wanted the touchpad for business plus have a son with learning issues and he's LOVES the computer.  It's highly likely he will end up doing most of his school work on computer/tablet..  I even have my bro on holiday in America and still haven't managed to get one! It so sucks when there are so many people like us wanting the touchpads for legitimate reasons and we missed out esp when so many are trying to flog them off for a sweet margin!! Gee people u sux!!

dclegg:
Dreamy: Can someone who has received one give me the LxWxH measurements of the box so I can determine shipping costs? If you happen to have a scale handy and could give the weight as well that would be great, although I read that it's 3.2 kg. Thanks.

I'd be interested in that too, as well as a reliable forwarding service to use. I've seen shipito mentioned here a few times. Are they pretty reliable to use?

I'm using comgateway (A few people on Whirlpool forums were using them), I have a shipito account too but was going to be charged $15USD state sales tax to have it shipped to california, so opted for comgateway whose warehouse is in Oregon (No sales tax). I haven't used them before but they were responsive to emails so my touchpad is going there.

I think they ship exclusively via DHL, so might cost a bit more than shipito, also they have no set up fees so I presume they add a little ontop of shipping for their profit. Average reviews on processing time etc compared to shipito. i.e. after it is received at their warehouse sometimes takes 1-2 days to process.

So for all those that have managed to snag a Touchpad - are you sticking with WebOS or do you think you'll be moving forward with Android?
Was a bit gutted, as I was trying to get a colleague to pick one up in the UK - but our office is just down the road from Vodafone HQ - so it would appear there was a bit of a mad dash by about 200 cars heading to our local Dixons to buy up all the stock last week.

Get an ipad, netbook, laptop, or android tablets..  There are options out there if you really want it..  bottomline is we missed the fire sale, they didn't..  they have the right to do whatever they want with their touchpad.

ALVIN - I was stating my opinion of which I am fully entitled too.  I said it sucks that people buy them to onsell when so many of us missed out BUT I didn't say they weren't allowed too! The point being these touchpad were a very sharp price tag which would have helped me save a lot of money esp when we have to pay so much for assistance with my son's learning issues - but we missed out that's life.  Simply said I was disappointed.  So please don't insult my intelligence with pointless comments about getting another types of laptop/tablet - you're stating the blatantly obvious of which I am clearly aware.
