ignishin: Patience pays off.

Me and my father were really keen on a cheap HP Touchpad. Just got an email to say he's ordered a couple of ASUS Transformers. DSE had them at $499.

$400 for a 32GB HP Touchpad seems ridiculous now.

sold a few toucpads on tm for 450+

I cancelled my Mobicity order and bought the Transformer online from DSE for $499

I can't see them online for less than $900. Is it still going on?

I've had issues with DSE where they charge straight away, then inform they have no stock.

The attraction for me was the fact that the Touchpad runs WebOS, as I liked the earlier Palm OS's, and it didn't run iOS or Android.

You sure that was in NZ dollars? They are $699 on the website now (in stock) and just under $500 on the Australian DSE site.

If you did get it for $500NZ , well done!

I complained to Incipio on Twitter and this is what they told me:

"@rafaelmagu It has been brought to our attention that concerns have arisen over the fit and functionality of this case with regards to the specifications of the HP TouchPad. We thank you for your feedback and value your suggestions and concerns, and are taking measures to address any lingering device-specific issues. As a result, we are committed to addressing your concerns by making modifications to the KICKSTAND® to accommodate all ports, buttons, and functions. We will be re-releasing a modified version of the KICKSTAND®, available in approximately two to three weeks.
If you would like to receive this updated version, or would prefer to process a refund instead, please e-mail us at support@myincipio.com with your order number and confirmation of your decision. Alternatively, we are happy to send you a different HP TouchPad case of your choice. You may browse your case options here: http://ncpo.cc/f4y
In addition, as a thank you for your feedback and continued support, we would like to offer you a one-time use 30% coupon to http://www.myincipio.com, valid for one year from today’s date."

So I sent them an email saying I want the case but won't pay anything. Let's see what they say.

Still getting the Poetic, though, which seems like it will work better with the touchstone charger.

Crap, and I just bout an Iconia for $500 , seems like with the touchpads you have to be quick around here.

The Iconia is a great tablet. I don't think it really performs any differently to the Transformer.

well done - pleased to see they are stepping up and responding professionally, it's not that hard to offer good customer service lol.  Unlike certain rugby jersey makers he he!
