Hope to see mine today. Processed through sort facility in New Zealand yesterday at 11:52am, Customs clearance completed at 3:18pm.

Mines coming "Priority Mail International Parcels" how did yours come?

It's arrived at last. Courier dropped it off about 20 minutes ago. It was a bit a of a mission to unpack as at it came with the sales/presentation box inside a plain brown HP labelled box for transportation. On the charger now, once charged time to play.

Just gone online to verify my WebOS account. It asks for purchase location and country of purchase. The location options don't really cover an Ebay sale though I guess the "Other Online Store" would cover that. The main problem is that the only countries I get to choose from are France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, United Kingdom.

Does it matter what country I choose? I'm guessing that one reason for the lack of choice is that I specified English United Kingdom as my language when I was doing the set up process as this was the best option available.

Cant remember i just done NZ and since we now have access to paid apps it doesnt really matter

the first language dont hv nz to select, i selected uk english. the app store also need to select a country this one i selected nz. i cant get the webso quick insteller work on my pc some java set classpath error.

I tried to cancel my oder with Mobicity and a support person said they would do it. A week later and it still hasn't happened :(

Update to webos 3.0.2 (using WiFi) first and then perhaps read this thread...

I also first selected UK English and after 3.0.2 upgrade, I found I could change to English (New Zealand) later on.

However I did have a problem installing nocacom drivers to the Win XP pc I was using, when pc had file associations for JAD and JAR files being set to open Ovi Suite. This problem might happen to other Nokia phone users and perhaps some other applications mess about with these file associations too. If you need to, change the file associations to Java(TM) Platform SE binary.

With quick installer, I'm assuming you have the WebOSQuickInstall JAR file somewhere on your pc like:
C:\Temp\WebOSQuickInstall-4.2.3.jar

I'm also assuming a recent Java 6 installation.
So what if you if you try something like:

"c:\program files\java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -jar c:\Temp\WebOSQuickInstall-4.2.3.jar

I never used quick installer, as I decided to install Preware v1.8.3 using command line from novaterm.

If you don't want to go through all the bother of getting the NovaCom drivers via other methods, I've put the .MSI here:

Trying to get it to download it through a proxy went into the "too hard" basket so I just grabbed the entire 220MB WebOSDoctor installer and pulled the driver out of that.

Using the Universal Novacom Installer worked o.k. for me (once I sorted my java problems).

I still haven't succeeded in tethering my cell to teh Touchpad. I've got Barnacle and can tether a netbook to my phone, but the TP just won't see the SSID for Barnacle...frustrating but not had time to muck about with it much this week.
