So DSE sent me an email supposed with my track and trace number but it is 'Hold in DC'. Which basically tells me they've got it but are not sharing.

So frustrating now I will have nothing to play with over the weekend. Hopefully they ship it on Monday.

I have posted Ben's Nokia Lumia 800 initial review now.

The TelecomTech is a Telecom sponsored blog, but the pieces are written by Geekzone users.

You can buy it from Vodafone's online shop for $799.

A couple of things hopefully people can answer for me.

1. Is their any way (setting or app) to stop the phone auto rotating?

2. The geekzone app constantly errors for me and tells me it can't reach geekzone servers - is it like this for anyone else?

Magenta not releasing in NZ. You are going to have to import it from someone like Clove.

1. No setting or app to stop the auto rotation. Only should auto rotate in certain apps or scenarios.

My Lumia 800 switches to speaker mode intermittently during phone calls... I can only assume that this is due to my face touching the screen and "selecting" speaker mode?

any one else have this issue?... very frustrating and basically makes the phone unusable for me.

You will have to find a supplier in the US for the Telecom model as the European model is only 900/1800/2100WCDMA or wait for the european model of the Lumia 900 which won't include LTE.
