Hi

Need to replace the trusty Samsung 40 inch LCD Full HD TV (6.5 Years use of hard gaming and streaming), about once a week you very quickly spot a 1-2 inch pixel burning away, comes and goes but anyway, decision made
Like the above TV, the new one is to be used as a 2nd TV/Computer Monitor - hooked up to a Gaming PC via HDMI
I am in the $1000-$1300 Price bracket
The MMO Game, Star Wars the Old Republic is my main source of entertainment whereby I consistently run at 60FPS- I have seen at times 80 to just over 100 and also as low as 30 but 60 is the norm when I test in game
I only realised today that the old Samsung I am replacing is 60HZ
So my queries are this
With a 60HZ TV I cant of been receiving 80 to 100+ FPS ? Would that be correct ? I presume now that my PC in conjunction with the game server is allowing the possibility of 80 to 100 FPS ? but the TV maxing out at 60HZ puts a stop to that ?
I am going to buy 100 HZ this time around partly based on this info, lot of 50HZ out there but am steering clear of them
Is what I am getting at correct ? That the relationship between FPS and TV HZ are vital for MMO PVP Gamers ?
Appreciate any assistance, thanks
