Fps in game keep changing every 15 sec. If you just start WoW fps will be around 50-70 and after 15 sec it will drop to 10, and after about 15-20 sec it will become 50-70 again etc. So basically fps keep changing all the time and doesnt matter in which location you are. Also there is no difference if you minimize video options.

I changed all drivers, i was trying different versions. Also I changed power supply unit, mother board, ram, and cpu cooler. Current cpu temp is about 55C and video card temp is 51C.

I tried to delete WTF folder and CASH folder. Also I tried to reinstall windows and WoW.

My current system is:

ASUS P5KPL-VM

PENTIUM D 3Ghz

Dual Core Intel Pentium D830 Stepping:B0

3000.1 MHz (current clock speed: 3000.1 MHz)

4Gb DDR-2-SDRAM 400/800

ASUS 8600GTS 256Mb

PSU 500W

Sound Blaster Audigy

current driver ForceWare 174.93

running windows xp sp2

directX 9.0c

Also I tried to run WoW in window mod and without sound.

Nothing really helped.

Could you please help me! I dont want to lag during raids!

Try disabling all your mods or deleting your WTF folder from the WoW install location.

yeah i did butnothing helped. I am reading blizzard forums now, looks like alot of people even with more
powerful system have the same problem. Damn it. I even tried to reinstall windows. I checked for viruses etc...

Could be a high ping issue or lag issue, i don'y play WoW so i wouldn't know but is there any servers in new zealand, could give those a try. I also remember reading somewhere you can emulate the server at home maybe you could try that and see if its a high ping issue or maybe a bad set of video card drivers?

I had a similar issue, found it was WinAmp and its newer skins - switched to the classic skin and my FPS came back up. Obviously this only applies if youre like me and prefer your own music in the background.

I think the problem is WoW itself haha

sorry never really been a fan of the game, but that problem your having does sound odd and id say it is some program you have running in the background....

Hehe.... I wasnt a fan of it either until I actually played it... enjoy it a lot, but I only play for 3 months here and there, not 24/7/365 like some of my mates.

Most of the people who hate WoW have actually never tried it. I was in this boat, until I finally gave it a go, I was then hooked for 18 months. (I was one of those *really* hard core players).

I have since quit, and haven't played in over a year now.

haha your right i havnt played it and dont intend on playing it either.... ive seen what WoW can do to people, my mate quit his job so he can get in more hours on it

i watched him play it a few time and for most of that time he was standing round ingame doing nothing waiting for the guild to assemble so they can guest.

i dont doubt that it has the potintial to be a great game, i'd just prefer not to find out.... as it is my gaming hours rival my work hours lol

WoW has had ping issues before, I remember seeing something about it on there web site back when I was playing.

I'd do a trace and see what route your taking, as I know when I had the issue I was going through asia.

Biggest thing that miffed me about WoW was how they did their Beta.

Yeah last year there was a big issue with the route being pushed through ASianetcom or somehting which added huge ping times. But that was resolved after a month.

My flatmate used to play WOW he has an awesome computer 8800GTS 3GHzC2D...and WOW would run like cr*p all the time, then he would run call of duty 4 and would run really well....it may be the connection as a few people have said or it could be that the graphics engine in WOW has not been written well and it needs to ram dump every few hundred frames which causes a frame rate drop

I don't think it's the WoW Graphics Engine, I use to run it on my previous PC at full graphics with zero slow down issues, and that was a pre-dual core PC with 2G ram.
