Hi everyone! I am new to geekzone.

I am a gamer and a violinist in Auckland, New Zealand.

Some people may know me from the FINAL FANTASY concert I was performing as a lead violinist last year (CHCH & AUCK).

I wanted to start a forum to see how many people in New Zealand would be keen to go to a concert dedicated to Video Games.

This has been a project I have been working on behind the scenes and am aiming to make happen this year or next.

So far these titles are in discussion: FINAL FANTASY series, NieR, Gravity Rush, Lost Odyssey, Pokemon.

What i would like to ask are the questions below:

1. Would you come to a video game dedicated concert?

2. If yes, what music would you expect/would like to hear?

3. and let us know which city you would like to hear the concert!

4. (Optional) If you like to hear FF music. Which one?

Lets make this happen!

I went to Video Games Live some years ago. It was very poorly produced given the quality of the American tour in comparison.

I love game scores. I listen to God of War by Bear McCreary all the time... And the original Quake score by NIN is one of my favorite albums of all time.

I'd attend a well produced, quality show. Good luck!

Please Please make one happen! We rarely have video game concert in NZ!

Personally I love to hear music from Witcher 3, GoW, Catslevenia, Fallout 3 & 4, Fire emblem, FF7 and FF12

Street Fighter 2, Tetris, Speedball 2, Xenon 2 - Megablast, IK+ etc(showing my Amiga 500 origins right there hahahaha). Heaps of 8/16bit games had really catchy tunes that may translate well into a convert...just can't think of many of them at the moment....

Total Annihilation has one of the best soundtracks in any video game. in fact you could do a concert on all Jeremy Soule's Games soundtracks

Common sense is not as common as you think.

1.) Yes

2.) Why stop at Videogames? Go Anime too! Some of the Studio Ghibli/Joe Hisaishi stuff is amazing!

3.) Auck/Wgtn/Chch (I live in Hawkes Bay and understand this isn't likely to be here)

4.) FFVII FTW! (on a serious note though, any of the Nobuo Uematsu stuff is amazing)
