Boss is having a clean out of his office and gave me (on permanent loan) an Oculus DK2 set.

Had some issues getting it going but once running, wow.... lot of fun, even with it being an "old" unit.

Kids think its fantastic :)

I'll try it with Elite Dangerous at some point :D

I got an HTC vive when launched.

Great fun.

Young kids just pick it up and are away, surreal watching them draw houses in 3d while "standing" within them. I would put a real world stool where their VR sofa was and so they could sit physically on a vr object.

Google earth great fun too.

Waiting for my Oculus Quest to arrive after trying one at work.
VR is an amazing experience, made even better with no cables or external cameras to set up.

A quick google search seems to indicate you'd be missing the 3D component as you require 2 eyes to generate the field of depth for it.

Still works with one eye, you’d just see like you normally would.
