hey people... can you please give me some idea of games that are good to modify
lately i've been mucking around with TES4 oblivion and neverwinter nights 2 but i feel i need
a change of scene while these have both been great fun to play around with it's become...
slightly boring because after modifying them for so long i have discovered many of their limitations
so yeah any suggestions for other games that i could modify please let me know

Maybe crysis would be good. Ive not had any real experience in game moding but the videos of crysis editor look good.

yea i was thinking about giving crysis a try but never really got round to trying it...
i spose i was just going through the thought process that involves thinking about
whether i would like the game or not...
but then thats what modification is all about (making a game more likeable)

Well make shure you just get crysis and not the new crysis warhead game. The crysis warhead game has drm and a limitation of 3 or 5 installs or some number. And i just dont trust this drm stuff. Was going to buy the new crysis game but then i realised it had drm. Wouldv'e brought bio shock a while ago to, but it had drm.

i had heard about a lot of people having problems with bio-shocks drm
and i had also heard something about the new crysis game having drm as well

The Unreal Tournament series has always been awesome for modding including TC mods. A great example of its capability is that the Red Orchestra game started as a UT2004 mod. Im not sure about UT3 though - its been a bit of a disappointment.

Otherwise Half Life 2 or the Source SDK is always good, heaps of good mods for that and a big user base. Hammer is apparently a great editor to use.

Yer i would of recomended hl2 source engine but its just a bit old. But yer so many mods have been made in that source engine.

Well Valve is still releasing games based on source, and they still look great and play well. As they say, why fix what isnt broken?
Source 2007 SDK is one way to go, Team Fortress 2 is based on this, and looks nice and sharp on high detail.

I reckon you should go with it, there are a massive amount of people it can reach due to the SDK base being provided with almost every source game.

Are you only after FPS games? The Total War series have some excellent mods available, so presumably aren’t that difficult to mod. Has anyone tried modding Spore yet? The possibilities are huge.

nah not just fps games, just games in general

i don't really see the point in modding spore the games customizability is very open-ended anyway
