For those not familiar with the geek culture of yesteryear, Auckmageddon is a series of LAN/Computer Gaming events run in Auckland.

It has been 6 years since the last installment, A4 and now we've decided to drag the old girl out of retirement for the weekend of 27th- 29th August 2010
A5 will be the fifth LAN in the Auckmageddon series; like A3 and A4, it'll hold 500 people and be at the North Harbour Stadium in Albany.

The main Level 1 of the events center will be turned in to a giant LAN from lunchtime Friday till lunchtime Sunday. With gaming tournaments, spot prizes, ad-hoc gaming and generic silliness, it'll be a whole bunch of fun.
There'll be a chillout room upstairs with an R18 bar and Boosh.FM DJs for those that way inclined.

Tickets are on sale now for $85, checkout http://auckmageddon.com for more details.
Big thanks go to our sponsors: Cisco, Microsoft, Orcon, Vector, Demon Energy, Compulink, Blitz and Boosh.FM

Oh, there's also a Facebook event for you to join and invite your mates to: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=103444239696180
