im using windows XP Sp2

it seems ANY game that requires the arrow keys, when i press left or right, the thing im controlling will stick and go in that direction perminatly, and i have 2 alt+ctrl+del to do anything, its

ive tryed using the arrow keys on the num pad but it just does the same, theres nothing stuck under my keys,  ive tryed other keyboards, but still no luck... any ideas what could be wrong

its not sticky keys, they are turned OFF

but whats weird is i was playing Stepmaina... which uses the arrow keys, and it works perfectly which makes no sense... wtf

Wow SP2, you a probably missing a ton of updates and fixes.

For a start I would install SP3 and other critical windows updates, you might find that resolves the issue.

Windows XP SP2 is an unsupported product since April 2010.

You don't have a joystick connected at the back of your pc do you? For the life of me, i would have this problem you mention with some games, pulling my hair out trying to solve it and found it happen whenever the joystick was plugged in. I blame the games and lazy programming,  the joystick was disabled in the game settings yet whenever i pushed a movement key the screen would go on forever. Disconnect the joystick and problem solved.
