Midweek special on Steam is 66% off Borderlands and each of the DLC's (downloadable content addons).

I bought the game on the pre order special back when it came out, played it through twice with 2 characters and haven't played it since.

Are the DLC's worthwhile?

Going by www.metacritic.com score and comments it sound like I should just get "The Secret Armory of General Knoxx" and possibly "The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned".  Mad Moxxi's sounds a bit lame.

Any "e-pinions"?

Personally I thought "The Secret Armory" was definitely a worthwhile addition and "The Zombie Island" wasn't to bad.

"Zombie Island" was a bit to easy with any leveled characters, but "The Secret Armory" has proven to be a challenge.

Haven't tried "Mad Moxxi's" as I thought it sounded to much like an arena add-on.

I bought both the Zombie Island and the The Secret Armory - the second is certainly worth it - new vehicles, guns, up to level 61. The Zombie Island is too easy if you have a level 50 char.

I didn't bother with Madd Moxxi.

There's a new one coming soon...

If the secret armoury allows you to level up to 61 do you retain that level in the base game or only in the DLC? This was my main complaint with the game and why it has not been touched for quite some time.. once you got to level 50 there was no point in playing...

Just bear in mind a little hiccup they're having with the DLC atm; thanks to the popularity of the sale, they've run out of cd keys.  If you buy some DLC which doesn't have a key allocated, you're unable to play the game until they get another batch of keys (which is where I find myself, having bought DLC 1+2).
