TwoSeven: Is working for me here in CHCH, just finished setting up my XB1. Only thing I cant get working at the moment is any form of TV guide. I have it connected to my Panasonic HD recorder and get a good picture - have not tried to control the HD recorder from the XB1 yet either.

Only issue I had was I needed to use the included High Speed HDMI cable to output to the TV. I had a good quality HDMI 1.4a cable but got a black screen, swapped them over and all ok.

On an aside, the courier left the box at my front door which is right beside the street and clearly visible to everyone so I was not really happy. The good thing was that the shipper (mighty ape) sent me an email as soon as it was delivered so I was able to go home and get it quite quickly.

networkn: Yup I am having the same issue. Hopeless.

DNS should now be working again

I just unboxed a brand new Xbox One and tested that the downloads are working OK now

Took 7 mins to download on VDSL

Took me about 15min

The first spike is the day one update, the 2nd one is me finding the 'download BF4' button.

stocksp: And I can't log into xbox live. Lucky I downloaded the update on my new xone before the servers went down!

Apparently you REALLY shouldn't use that.  MS has taken it down and issued warnings

No I meant that I downloaded via the xbox one. I saw the other installs, but figured I would not take the risk. The 500m install downloaded really quickly anyway, it's just that the servers crashed after that.

Currently downloading the 6 gig Forza patch. .....

So in typically GeekZone fashion, do we have a timeline and if not, who do we need to talk to in order to get a time and availability for it?

Nathan is head of EPG development for the Xbox Division of MS, he will be happy to take your feedback :)

PS the FIFA download, I loved how the Kinect could read the QR Code on the cardboard insert to do the download instead of typing in a 26 digit character code
