trig42: Thanks for help everyone.

What would the equivalent Radeon card be to the 960? Is there one?

Apparently a 280 or 285.

BTR: Asus GTX 750Ti are around $200

I have one of these, it is a great little card, but aren't AMD out with their latest cards shortly?

I was looking at upgrading from the GTX 750Ti to http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=VGAGBV00964&name=Gigabyte-GV-N960OC-4GD-GTX960-4G-OC-Version-PCI-E- when Fallout4 comes out.

I paid $160 for the 750Ti from here a few months ago I think this is the one http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=VGAEVG3753&name=EVGA-GeForce-GTX-750Ti-2GB-SC-version---1176Mhz--5

If you are keen on similar money than I paid I could be persuaded to upgrade early!

Current Nvidia to Radeon roughly plays out like this, just imagine the radeon a little bit slower than each geforce but it's made up by each radeon being a bit cheaper than each geforce:

GTX 950 = R7 370
GTX 960 = R9 380
GTX 970 = R9 390
GTX 980 = R9 390X

A site like Logical Increments is great for looking at price/performance, also lists previous generation models and roughly where they fit in
http://www.logicalincrements.com/

Basically nvidia is the safer bet in the current generation lower power and heat but often overpriced locally.

If you end up stretching your budget to the $400 mark then the R9 380 does look like a better card than the 960 from what I can see.

The GTX 950 or R7 370 will probably be fine given it sounds like he has a small screen resolution? I would go GTX 950 personally at the moment I think for screen smaller than 1920x1080.
