eXDee:
barf: This entails more work like high pressure piping but may still be worth considering if you have an old refridgerator you can gut for parts.

Hmmm, would be interesting gutting a bar/camping fridge and using that, but the motor is pretty big and loud on most. Would be pretty cool though to modify it to cool your PC.

Im not to sure that would be to stable as a fridge has moisture and water vapors which are not to helpful for live circuits Undecided

For my very first dabble into phase-change cooling I gutted a bar fridge and made a water chiller. It worked ok but I needed better insulation.

When I made a better chiller (-25C coolant) I achieved my first sub-zero temperature.

I agree that water-cooling maximum is ambient temperature but water is still way better at shifting heat (vs air). With the added benefit of reduce noise (and a little bling if your into that)

I have giving up on building diy water cooling for my 7950gx2 cards as is so expensive and i actually getting good cooling from this aircooling setup i just done, but i will try to build water cooling for my cpu as is easy to find water blocks. i'm currently cooling my 7950gx2 sli cards with a swift spacers kit plus pure copper heatsinks for ram and now that the spacer kit giveme clearance for aftermaket cooling i have placed two fatal1ty zalman coolers one on each gpu this are vf900 pure copper cooler with two heatpipes and silent operation, just by running cooler my cards are performing better when playing crysis and farcry. after this settup i ran out of money....:( but i will be back for cpu water cooling soon as get some money.

nice stuff guys,

cheers,

Lew
