I wanted to get Civilisation II going (I know, sad!) - so just created a VM and installed an old Win95 cd on it - runs fine!

Ah crap, I might be out of luck then :(
Pity that GOG or someone doesn't have this game for purchase - their installer runs DOSBox and it just starts automatically, super easy.

Ive run the Gruntmods version too without any issue on Win 10 64bit.
