Let's not get into a pipe comparing competition. Everyone here knows I have the biggest pipe.
Senecio:I did some research at the time before putting a 2TB standard HDD in my PS4 Pro. The consensus then was that it didn't make a big difference.
It really depends on the game. FFXV or Bloodborne showed benefits in loading times. Other games like CoD had minimal improvement. Some devs take into account the slow i/o and try not to use it as much.
Again, the pro has sata 3 and shows the most benefit especially in downloading or responsiveness. With the original ps4, or just the stock 5.4k rpm hdd the value is still there on getting a higher storage 7.2k rpm hdd. At least until SSD prices come down.

no, it just takes like a whole 5 seconds too long to restart every time i have to one in a blue moon!!

Cheers, I might look into the 2TB Firecuda SSHD as an upgrade then. I like having a variety of games to play depending on mood so would hate to give up on capacity.
