That's good he didnt, but really you think blizzard would really care as to how many people have died form just playing WOW?
Really think about it, 11 million people play WOW and @ $NZD50 for a game card for 2 months or around $NZD24 for one month from online billing you really think they would care???

I play but not for great lengths of time as i have kids and so on but you would think that the amount of people that play just in Aus and NZ they would have enough money to fill their pockets 10 fold, and one or two deaths from a game im sure they would care, they gota be laughing all the way to their bank managers.. And if anything would to bother them it is people giving up the game for other MMO's and most are for free so the people who are addicted to WOW who cant get off their seats just because they get hungry to feed themself's need a swift kick up the WWOOOOOOOHHHOOOO and need to be given a bike or somthing and kick outside...

I'm sorry but [kid/adult/parents/man] [dies/just about dye/neglects baby/shots neighbour] whilst playing [WOW/Unreal Tornament/Everqust/Insert name of game] stories have been floating around in the media for years. It's nothing new.

IMHO It has nothing at all to do with the game involved. The media just likes to jump on the whole computer game angle to write a headline.

Yes some games are addictive. You will have people out there with addictive personalities who will play ignoring responsiblities like having to eat, wash or other things you must take care of. It really isn't the fault of the Game Producers at all . While their goal is to get you to buy your game and play it for hours on end , as responsible gaming companies their advice will be to take everything in moderation , to pace it out and look after yourself. After all a dead gamer can't whack money down to buy games now can they ?

I haven't been to a gaming convention myself but the advice from the organisers is nearly always the same. Drink Plenty of Water. Make sure you're well fed. Shower at least once while you're there (you're going to be stick in a room for serveral hours with other people - be considerate!). Get as much sleep as you can. Most of all look after yourself. A healthy gamer has loads more energy then a tired run down gamer whos had no sleep who surviving on the fumes of V Cans :D

So IMHO it has less to do with the game but people who play lacking common sense. I love ganking someone who hasn't had a much sleep as I :D
PS There's an alarm clock function and timer function in WOW now. So you can set yourself limits to playing
