Played a bit of Monster Train using controller overlay.

Would be keen for it working on iPad but it doesn't show up as a tab in the app.

You need to go to xbox.com/play. Apple doesn't allow it in the app.

Well I was super happy when I logged into my console to see this available (finally).  I tested out to see if it worked by loading into Yakuza like a Dragon which I didn't actually play due to the kids wanting me to play something else. Then I saw that Design Lab was also available and I was a very happy chappy indeed.

As for the games I did play yesterday MLB the Show 22 which I played for several hours over my intended a quick 1 game to see if it was worth going back to.  No drop outs, graphics looked good and I didn't notice any input lag.  Next up it was 3:30am and I was like oops so obviously I started checking my gamepass quests, TWD Michone never ever loaded a full screen without losing half the pixles but some educated clicks later my mission popped, lastly I did the We Happy Few quest and it loaded and looked as good as I had ever thought of it (not a fan of the game lol).

I'm going to give this a thumbs up for now and as others have said it can only get better once the Azure DC is open.

I played the original Dead Space for a few hours last night and it worked flawlessly.  The screen size of my Fold3 feels like it's made for this purpose!

Would be interesting to hear people's setups for using this. I used to have a madcatz Bluetooth controller with a phone mount 6-7 years ago.

Touch screen alone on a normal form factor phone isn't great at emulating a controller.

Might be time to start researching some of the clip on controllers again.

I'm using the Gamesir X2 but might try the Razer Kishi at some point.  Both my S22 Ultra and Fold3 mount beautifully in the controller, the Fold being the preference given the screen size.

Currently I've only used it on my series x but I have also streamed to phone and a 10 inch Huawei tablet prior to the urrent state of cloud gaming with no real troubles.  I can definitely say I will use my tablet sooner or later cause I'm sure it'll work just as good as before.

Pretty sure my main use case will be on the old Xbox one on a second tv. It'll be a toss up between this or just playing locally depending on the game and the needed reactions.

I fired up Ori and that's definitely not something I'll be playing via the cloud, you can see the compression in the studios logos very clearly which is fine and to be expected but it's a game I struggle enough with the timing on a local machine, that latency will be a deal breaker on that one.

You can save a short cut to the Home Screen, which then loads the service in a full screen window (which behaves like an app once it’s logged in).

Sitting at the airport yesterday playing Dead Space from the departure lounge for an hour was pretty magical.

Does touch screen actually mean touch controls for any games, as far as I can tell it's just controller overlay even for touch friendly games like slay the spire.

Would Flight Simulator work OK on this arrangement?
