I've been playing since the head-start and have thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm not rushing at all and have just made Commander.
It's a shame they don't off the usual MMO 30 trial free download yet - but for those of you interested in all things STO I'd recommend you watch STOked made by some guys at Jupiter Broadcasting. Thats where I learnt about things pre-release and also has some good tutorials.
