Why would it be the same on the 360? It's just as likely to occur on the 360 as it would on your home PC.

Issue appears to be resolved. Can't confirm on mine since I'm at work... but apparently switch off (at wall) switch on and you should be able to connect to PSN.

If your date/ time is out, go to date/time settings and sync.

Cheers, Stevo

mine works without trying anything , sony was hoping that they would all correct themselves when it hit 4.00pm pacific time and it looks like it worked . i bet Sony is breathing a sigh of relief it did.

Wow, unbelievable. Same as Vexxxboy, did nothing and it's all go.

Had date 29/4 but did time sync via internet and correct time, date came up.

Logged onto PSN fine, ran 1 download game and seems to be going good.

I think next year I'll set wrong time on it and unplug from wall near end of Feb.

I did turn it off at wall yesterday, but that didn't fix it.

I don't think it will necessarily happen next year, it didn't have a problem last year or the year before after all? I hope Sony tells us what the issue was.

For me, the only fall out is that all my manual recordings from PlayTV have been ruined. I had set up weekly recordings and since the date got changed to some time in the future, they have generated error reports for all of the 20+ weeks they were scheduled for! It's not quick to go through and delete the errors and reschedule the recordings! Bugger!

Best comment I've seen about this so far, from Twitter:

2008: Sony removes PS2 compatibility from PS3;
2009: Sony removes UMD compatibility from PSP;
2010: Sony removes PS3 compatibility from PS3
