Coolermaster 550w will cost you $109 http://bit.ly/aOIQnO vs $129 for 650w. Personally, I will not recommend anything less than 650w - it is not worth the risk.

I think the HD ATI 5770 requires 400-450W minium PSU, wouldn't a 550W PSU be sufficient enouigh?

It will be sufficient but dosent give you much room to expand, or perhaps wouldent be up to the task if you wanted to use it in a new system in the future.

If you get a more powerful PSU you will have room to add more harddrives, fans, garphics cards or whatever and would proberbly also be able to use it on a new system build in the future.

I'd check out the charts in this link before deciding what card to get:

tardtasticx: Dont upgrade, and get an xbox/ps3. use it on a bigger screen

You can always run the PC through a plasma for a bigger screen Laughing

Actually the screen size is relative. Something like a 19 - 23" monitor is going to look [size-wise]about the same as a 42" LCD or Plasma when you are sat 3 feet away from it at a desk. By that I mean the screen will occupy about the same area of your view if not more.

Personally I prefer to play shooters on a PC as I can control them a lot easier and it feels a lot smoother. A dual thumbstick control [for my hands] can't compete with a mouse-keyboard combo for controlling your movement and aiming at the same time.
