Wow in an attempt to be clearer I was less clear haha...

Ok, so I needed a laptop anyway, I was hoping that there might be one that could run mid level or higher graphics on diablo 3, no other games. This would be for travelling or when the desktop was in use (it is also located in the guest room, so not as available as I'd like)
The main question was, is it possible without spending >$1300 or would I be better off just buying a cheap laptop for typing/internet and just use the desktop.

I thought we had discussed this yesterday? yes there are, you just have to wait a couple of weeks for them to launch. AMD are about to shake up the laptop market with these laptops, they will be a force to be reckoned with! (Value for money wise anyway)

Oh, true, it just quickly turned to "HP is bad" so I thought maybe there was an alternative or something. Ok I guess it's just waiting time.

Thanks :)

I think you can do it now, without spending >1300.

The new Dell Inspirons 15R ($1299) will chew through Diablo 3 with no problems. It has an i7 processor, and  AMD Radeon™ HD 7730M with 2GB video memory

The Acer AS5560G at Pbtech should also be alright at med settings, at $1033, as it has a decent video card and the Crossfire graphics (an earlier generation of the type the new AMD Trinitys use?)

Hp will be one of many companys in the next few weeks with those laptops, they just happen to be the first to market.. All the other big players should have offerings.
You can probably get away with a laptop bought today that will play it, but being that its only a short period of time before this new tech arrives, i would wait and see how it goes.

This Acer at PBTech has a GT630M graphics chip, for $1150. According to notebookcheck the GT630M can manage Starcraft 2 at high settings..

I have tested the Diablo 3 beta on an AMD Trinity laptop
A6-4400 with duel HD 7520G + 7670M 4gb ram.

Seems to run ok on mid settings getting around 30fps (drops to 20 with lots happening on the screen)

This is also running the default drivers as amd don't seem to have any better drivers available at the present time

I didn't expect much being a $900 laptop but overall it has not preformed too bad!
