qyiet: Hrm.. wolfram alpha tells me that BF4 is going to take about 11 hours to download. I guess I can do the campaign tonight.

On VDSL I was able to start playing BF4 after about 20 mins while the rest downloads in the background

nathan: PS the FIFA download, I loved how the Kinect could read the QR Code on the cardboard insert to do the download instead of typing in a 26 digit character code
Are they just standard text QR codes?  So if I get given a 25 character code by some random website I can just paste it into a QR generator  rather than type it out?

My annoyance for today was going into dick Smith to pick up my day one edition which I preordered months ago only to be told 'we don't have any stock yet, we will get them in tomorrow'. I went next door and bought a non day one edition from the warehouse ( and missed out on fifa).

DSE guy told me that Microsoft had reallocated their stock to other suppliers, and that they were not even able to meet preorders !??? Sounds unlikely to me, but feels like DSE is folding.

And this is why retail will fail....    mighty ape delivered mine to the door of my office by 8:30am.

Ok, my Kinect cant hear me and I cant find a menu (the old 360 had one) where I can test the voice settings. There is a 'Kinect cant hear me' setting but that just takes it through the setup process again which works fine (it can hear itself - although it does ask me to turn up the tv volume).

Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this one.

Edit: Ok, have it sorted - NZ isn't a supported country, so I had to choose UK and my location (cant speak Australian).
