networkn: Is there a way to play your own music through the radio, or at least a modern pop channel?

Yes, there is.

Under your usual Windows Documents library there should be these folders .\Rockstar Games\GTA V\User Music
Copy MP3 files in there or create shortcuts to MP# files or folders.
Then in the game go Settings, Audio and Perform Full Scan for Music (there's also a quick scan - don't know what's different between them sorry).
You also have options in there for sequential, random and radio.  First two are self-explanatory, the third means you'll get DJ banter, ads and news between your songs.
Now when you hold Q to bring up the radio-wheel you should see one at about 12 o'clock called Self Radio.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Downloaded mine via steam. Dont usually like these types of game, but saw some gameplay on Youtube.
I'm enjoying it. Driving is hard to get used to (motorbikes are the best).

Using a 980 video card in an older Pc and it runs fine on max settings.

Be aware that the = and - for next/previous tracks only works in random and sequential mode, NOT in radio mode.  (Took me a while to figure this out.)

After a couple of weeks at this game I'd have to rate it as my new favourite of the GTA series.
(Previously it was Vice City, for its music and overall cheesiness.)
I love Trevor's sarcasm and Jack Nicholson-esque antagonism, and the continued p*ss-take of the whole game out of a lot of American culture. It's funny, it's filthy, it's violent, it's pretty and it works smoothly without crashing (getting average 45 fps, 1080p, med-high settings, i5 4570, R9 270x, 16GB RAM, SSD).
A great little stress reliever after a day's work.
