From memory the channel spacing was key, with different countries separating the channels by different frequencies, a bit like the FM band auto scan spacing settings in some radios etc.

Just need to find a similar country.

The lack of EIT EPG data is still the big issue here.

nzrock: Hi what area do you live in & what settings did you use ?

Auckland based.  Turned my xbox on this morning and it's still working, even went straight to tv on start up.  Location set to NZ, Language set to English UK.

TV was originally set up using a location in UK with a postcode in Liverpool.  Not sure if that would have anything to do with it..

Is it working for anyone else?

I just tried changing back to NZ location, with UK English, & it said it could not display the channel. Then spat the dummy & I had to restart the Xbox.

I put it back to UK location & it worked fine again.

what was the Liverpool post code that you used ?
I had used an east London one.

Seems like it was just a blip, TV stopped working a few days ago so had to change my location back to the UK.

Post code wise, I just used one from where I used to live during my OE.  Not really sure that it matters what post code you use.

Hi guys

I'd like to proceed and buy a tuner for my Xbox One. I've had a look arund and it seems that there are very few options to purchase one here in New Zealand. The best I've come up with is JB Hi-Fi in Australia, but the AUD and freight makes it quite pricey.

Does anybody have any other suggestions?

Have you got family or friends in AU?  I purchased mine off the AU MS store and had it delivered to a mate in OZ who then forwarded it me...

Hi there

I just wanted to report back and say that I ended up buying a tuner from JB HiFi's Australian website. The delivery was 12.50AUD and it was here within three days which I thought was good service.

The tuner works well, and I got it working changing my location to the United Kingdom. I used a random postcode from London and from there it was able to tune all the Freview channels. I have since changed my location back to New Zealand and it's still working.

As expected the guide doesn't work which is annoying, but I'm glad to have TV in one place through the Xbox.

Does anybody have an update on when NZ can expect this to be officially supported? Or if indeed at all? The guide in Widows Media Centre was never officially supported and had to be hacked to get working, but you don't seem to have the same ability to do it with the Xbox... or do you?
