LOL I had the same thing at work the other day.... machine's fans kept going nuts and temp shot up... found one of the fans was in backwards sucking warm air in....

I tend to blow cool air in from the front and side (if available) and suck it out the back....current box tho only has a rear fan and thats it...... and a big hole in the base I cut into it for a video card I had last year...

Yeah I think I need to sort out my cooling... There are 2 free slots at the back. So does that mean I could put in 2 fans? If so, do I have to make sure that one is sucking air in and the other spewing air out??

Tuataras were once feared by Māori as the messengers of Whiro, god of death and disaster.  Today, tuataras are regarded as a taonga (treasure), and as the kaitiaki (guardian) of the trails to the realms of the mind and spirit that give humans life.

I'd recomend running something like http://www.passmark.com/products/bit.htm for a matter of time and getting some results from that. You should be able to run the card up pretty hard until it crashes and the Passmark software will capture all the info leading up to the crash ... might show you if it's temp or not?
